Here you will find a template
for a small blinky box. Open in PSP and you will see that it has three
layers, border, background and text. Duplicate this file and close
the original for future use. Click on the border layer and flood fill with
color of your choice.
We are filling the whole image so
don't be concerned.
Click on Background and Go to
Selections / Select All. Then go to Selections / Modify / Contract and
contract this layer by 3 pixels. Now Flood fill with another color of your
choice.
Here is
mine so far! Next go to the text layer and add your text as you
wish. If you want to add a small tube create another layer and do so
now. When you are happy with the colors and text, etc. Go to Layers /
Merge / Merge Visible.
Right click on this merged layer
and rename it Blinkie1 then right click again and this time duplicate this
layer. Rename the new Layer Blinkie2 then go back to Blinkie1 Layer and
duplicate again renaming it Blinkie 3. Making sure that your Blinkie1
layer is highlighted go to Selections / Load/Save Selection / Load from Alpha
Channel. This will bring in the Blinkie format, Zoom in so you can clearly
see what you are doing. Hide the two upper layers so you are just working
on Blinkie1 layer. Now Flood fill this layer with a color of your choice
by clicking inside one of the boxes that are selected around the edge of your
image. Flood fill one box and all should be filled. Selections /
Select None.
Now close of Blinkie1 layer and
Highlight and unhide Blinkie2 layer. Again go to Selections / Load/Save
Selection / Load from Alpha Channel and this time choose Blinkie2
selection. Again flood fill with the same color as before.
Selections / Select None.
Again Close off Blinkie2 layer and
Highlight and unhide Blinkie3 layer. Again go to Selections / Load/Save
Selection / Load from Alpha Channel and this time choose Blinkie3
selection. Again flood fill with the same color as before.
Selections / Select None.
You can now go back to normal
viewing and unhide all your layers. Save as psp file and open it again in
Animation Shop. Now you can run the animation viewer to see what it will
look like. Here is mine.
Have Fun!
