Bounce & Spin
In PSP open a new image 400 x 200. With a fat font type out
your name, or whatever text you like. Be sure you have create on
vector selected. After you click apply go to
Objects>Align>Center in Canvas.
You will need the supplies here.
![]() Now, copy and paste as a new
animation in AS. Go to Effects>Insert Image Effects with the
following settings:
![]()
Click on the Customize button and make sure that you have Vertical Checked.
Still in AS open new image
400x600. Go to Animation>Insert Frames>Empty with the
following settings:
![]() You should now have 16 blank
frames which is the # of frames your pinched text should have.
Select all. Go back to the pinched text animation, select all and
drag into your blank frames.
![]() Open the jumping tube are using in
PSP. You may need to resize them to fit with your text size. I
resized the ones I'm using by 50%. Copy your resized tube and paste
as a new animation in AS. Drag it into the first frame of your
animation. Place it so that it looks as if it is jumping directly on
your text.
Now go back to your tube image
(don't worry if it shows just a blank frame, hit CTRL+Z to undo and it
will be right there). Drag it into your second frame, but move it
slightly up from where you placed it in frame one. This is where
your onion skin tool really comes in handy so you can see a transparent
outline of your previous frame.
![]() Continue doing this until your
jumper is almost to the top of the image. Mine went to frame
9.

Next, open up your spinning tube
in PSP. Resize it the same as you did for your jumper tube. If
you are using the same one as I did you are going to need 4 different
angles of your tube so that it will appear to be spinning.
So, your first image you will want it to look as if it just curled up
from jumping. Go to Image>Free Rotate>Right>45. Now
go to Image>Flip and you should have it at this angle.
![]() Copy and paste as a new animation
in AS. Go back to PSP. Image>Free
Rotate>Right>90. Copy and paste as new animation in AS.
Do this 2 more times. You should now have a total of 4 spinner
images as shown below.
![]() In AS now, take your first spinner
and drag into your next frame. (Mine is frame 10) Place it
directly over the onion skin of your last jumper. Now, drag that
same tube to your next blank frame, but move I up slightly. It
should be to the top of your canvas now.
![]() Go to your next spinner angle and
drag it into the next frame. Place it directly over the onion
skin of the last spinner. Do the same with the next 2 spinner
tube angles.
![]() Go back to your first spinner
tube and drag it into your next frame (15) and place it directly on
the onion skin of the last spinner. Drag that tube image into
the last frame as well moving it slightly down from the onion
skin.
![]() If you want at this point you can
change your frame properties. I left mine at 10. I thought it
looked okay. You should now have something similar to this.
![]() Have fun!!
