Pixelation
1. Open a new image 200x400 (you may want to
adjust your size to accommodate the tube you are using).
Copy and paste your tube to your new image. Add a drop
shadow if you'd like.
2. Add a new raster layer and make a
background for your tube. Be sure to move this raster layer
beneath your tube layer.
3. Add your name in a font and color of
choice. Add a drop shadow if you'd like.
4. Close your tube layer, then click on your
background layer and Merge Visible. You can now unhide your
tube layer. Your tag should look similar to this right now.
5. Copy Merged and paste in AS as a new
animation.
6. Make your tube layer the active layer and
go to Effects>Distortion Effects>Pixelate. Symmetric
checked, Block width and height 4.
7. Copy Merged and paste into AS after
current frame.
8. Go back to PSP. Still on your tube layer
go to Pixelate again, but this time change it to 6. Copy
Merged and paste into AS after current frame.
9. One more time back to PSP. Pixelate,
change to 8. Copy Merge and paste into AS after current
frame.
10. You should now have 4 frames in AS.
Click on your first frame and then holding the CTRL key down
click on frames 2 and 3 as well. That will select all the
frames except for frame 4. CTRL+C to copy your selected
frames. Click on frame 4 and paste after current frame.
Now, you have 7 frames.
11. The last 3 frames should still be
highlighted since they are the ones you just pasted. Go to
Animation>Reverse Frames. This will flip their order. So
now what you essentially have is 1,2,3,4,3,2,1.
12. Now select only the first and last
frames. Change frame properties to 55.
13. Select all the frames other than the
first and last now and change their frame properties to 20.
View your animation and save.
Of course, you can play with your pixelation
setting to change the look up a bit. You can even pixelate
different parts of your tag for various looks.
I hope you all enjoy!
