Make It
Rain
There are many ways
to make rain animation. Most of them include the use of a plugin or
outside program. Here is a way to do it without either though.
1. Open a new image
500X500. Flood fill with a favorite color then add a tube as a new
layer. Here is what I have:

layer. Go to your airbrush tool with these settings:
Shape: Round
Size: 500 Hardness: 33
Step:25 Density:45
Thickness:100 Rotation:0
Opacity:65
Set your foreground
color to white.
Now click on your
tag, about 4 times, to cover your layer. You should have something
like this.
![]() 3. Go to
Adjust>Blur>Motion Blur and use the following settings:
Angle: 30 (you can
change the angle to your liking, just depends on where you want your rain
to come from)
Strength:
80%
Your image should now
look like this:
![]() 4. Add a new
raster layer. Go back to your airbrush with the same settings, but
this time click in 4 different areas. Then apply motion blur with
the same settings. Add one more raster layer and repeat the steps
once again clicking in different areas with your airbrush.
5. Hide the 2nd
and 3rd rain layers. Go to Edit>Copy Merged. Go to
Animation Shop and paste as a new animation. Go back to PSP hide the
1st rain layer and unhide the 2nd one. Edit>Copy Merged. Go
to AS and paste after current layer. Back to PSP one more time hide
the 2nd rain layer and unhide your last rain layer. Edit>Copy
Merged. Paste after current layer in AS. I set my frame
properties to 20, but you can play with this to make it rain faster or
slower, depending on what you want. Play your animation and it
should look something like this.
![]() Have
fun!
