Swinging
Charms
Open new image
500x500.
Type your text with font
and color of choice. Make sure you do not fill your entire image with your
text as you will need room for your charm to be attached and swing. (I used the
font Monika at size 100). Place your text toward the upper left corner of
the image. We will crop away the excess canvas later on.
Now, copy and paste your
charm as a new layer onto your image. You may have to resize it to
fit your text. Place it on your last letter where you would like
it. Then, duplicate the charm layer twice for a total of 3 charm
layers.
Now, make the middle charm layer active
and go to Image>Free Rotate>Left>15.
Take that charm and line up the top
ring that goes around your letter with that of the bottom charm layer's top
ring.
Select top charm layer. Go to
Image>Free Rotate>Left>30. Then line this one up as well.
Now you can crop away the excess canvas space since you can see exactly where
your charm will be swinging.
Time to take it to AS. Hide your
top 2 charm layers, Edit>Copy Merged, and then Paste as a New Animation in
AS. Go back to PSP, hide the bottom charm layer and unhide the middle
charm layer, Edit>Copy Merged, and Paste After Current Frame in AS.
Last time, go back to PSP, hide the middle charm layer and unhide the top charm
layer, Edit>Copy Merged, and Paste After Current Frame in AS.
You know have 3 frames in AS, however,
if you play your animation you will notice it's a bit choppy on the back
swing. So, select your 2nd frame and copy. Then go to your 3rd frame
and paste after current frame. Now you have 4 frames. Select
all and set the Frame Properties to somewhere between 25 and 35 depending on
your personal preference. Now, just save and it's ready to use.
Have fun!!
