I am addicted to this at the moment. As many of you have
already experienced these creative addictions can be all-consuming at
times. But this my latest addiction has me staying up till all hours of
the night making calendars. Won't you join me?! LOL!
I have
provided a template that you can use. It is a
grid made to fit a background of 800 x 600 pixels. Once the calendar is
made you can resize it up or down according to your needs. The grid is
squares of 7 squares across and 5 squares down, that gives us a total of 35
squares. We will have to adjust the number of squares according to our
needs for each month.
Open the template in your PSP program and create a copy (Shift
+ D) then close the original template. For this exercise we are
going to start our new 30 day calendar on a Monday, so we will need to remove
the first square in the first row, Like this:
Using the selection
tool in rectangle shape draw around the square then tap the delete key to
remove the square. Next we will need to remove the last four squares in
the bottom row the same way.
Now using your favorite font in a size large enough to read, I
have used a larger font than I normally do here just to make it easier
for you to see, add the numbers to each square.

Next you can add your month name and year
like this:

That is our calendar template for this month, now
we need to make it into a mask. Using the steps we learned in Lesson 15,
merge all, create a mask layer and save our mask to disk. You can now
close your calendar template.
Open a new image 800 x 600 and flood fill with a color
that coordinates to the calendar graphics you will be using. Create
another coordinating layer, either a pattern, texture, gradient or color
can be used. Whatever you want for the main background on the
calendar. Then apply the calendar mask you just made. Create
another layer and place your image or tube or embellishment that you want
for calendar.
Merge all layers and add a border or embellishments if you
like and you are done!
